Welcome to Booant. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website booant.com (the "Site") and the purchase of lithium battery products from Booant ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

1. Product Information & Compatibility

• Our lithium batteries are designed for DIY e-bike applications. Proper installation requires technical knowledge of e-bike electrical systems.
• You are solely responsible for verifying compatibility between our battery and your motor, controller, and charger before purchasing. Key factors include voltage, connector type, continuous discharge current, and physical dimensions. See our Battery Compatibility Guide for detailed information.
• Product specifications, images, and descriptions on our Site are provided for informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, minor variations in appearance or specifications may occur.
• We reserve the right to modify product specifications without prior notice.

2. Orders & Payment

• By placing an order, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
• All prices are listed in the currency displayed at checkout and are subject to change without notice.
• Payment is due at the time of order. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout, processed securely through Shopify Payments, PayPal, and other listed providers.
• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including but not limited to orders with pricing errors, suspected fraud, or stock unavailability.
• Order cancellation requests must be submitted within 2 hours of placement. Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. See our Returns Policy for post-delivery options.

3. Shipping & Dangerous Goods

• Lithium batteries are classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods under international transport regulations (UN38.3). All shipments comply with IATA, IMDG, and ADR requirements.
• We ship from Hong Kong to select international destinations. Shipping times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to customs inspections, carrier operations, weather, or other factors beyond our control.
• Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost.
• Some countries restrict or prohibit lithium battery imports. It is your responsibility to verify that our products can be legally imported into your country before ordering.

4. Returns & Refunds

Returns are governed by our Returns Policy. Key points include:

• Returns must be initiated within 30 calendar days of delivery
• Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging
• Due to safety regulations, used or installed batteries cannot be returned

5. Warranty

Warranty coverage is governed by our Warranty Policy. Key points include:

• Coverage applies to manufacturing defects in cells, BMS, casing, connectors, and charger
• Warranty does not cover damage from incorrect installation, water ingress, use of incompatible components, physical impact, or normal capacity degradation
• Opening the battery casing or unauthorized modification voids the warranty

6. Battery Safety & Proper Use

⚠️ Lithium batteries store significant energy and can pose safety risks if mishandled. By purchasing and using our products, you acknowledge and agree that:

• You have read and understood our Battery Safety Guide
• You will follow all safety instructions provided with the product and on our Site
• You will use only the included or approved charger
• You will not leave the battery unattended while charging
• You will inspect the battery regularly for physical damage and discontinue use if any is found
• You assume all risks associated with the installation and use of lithium battery products

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• Booant shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our products or Site, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or loss of use.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from a product purchase is limited to the purchase price of that product.
• We are not liable for damages resulting from improper installation, use with incompatible components, failure to follow safety instructions, or modifications to the product.
• Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this Site, including text, images, logos, graphics, product descriptions, and guides, is the property of Booant and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our express written permission.

9. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong SAR.
