Will this 24V 30Ah pack power my 24V bow-mount trolling motor?
Yes. It delivers a sustained 25.6V nominal voltage suitable for popular 24V trolling motors (such as Minn Kota, MotorGuide, and Newport Vessels). Be sure to choose the 30A BMS for 55–70 lb motors, or step up to 50A/60A BMS if your setup pulls higher continuous amperage in strong currents.
How does the JBD Bluetooth monitoring work on the water?
Download the standard JBD/Xiaoxiang BMS app on iOS or Android. Open the app near your boat to check live individual cell voltages, remaining capacity percentage, real-time current draw, and pack temperature. You can also toggle the discharge port off remotely when leaving the boat docked.
Is the battery waterproof against boat washdown and hull spray?
The battery features dual waterproof sealant applied to top and bottom end caps, combined with heavy-duty heat-shrink PVC. It resists deck splashes, rain, and light morning condensation. However, it is not meant to be submerged under standing bilge water, so housing it inside a ventilated marine battery box or elevated hatch is recommended.
Can I use an existing lead-acid or AGM boat charger?
No. Traditional lead-acid chargers use desulfation and equalization stages with unsuitable voltage cutoffs that can trigger BMS safety lockouts. Always use the included dedicated 29.2V 5A LiFePO4 smart charger, which applies a precise CC/CV charging profile to top up the battery in roughly 6–7 hours.
What plug comes soldered on the battery, and how do I request a custom one?
The default build ships with an XT60 or XT90 female connector with heavy silicone leads. If your rig requires an Anderson SB50, T-Plug (Deans), or ring terminals for a marine breaker, simply note your required connector at checkout. Our workshop solders and insulates it prior to dispatch at no additional fee.
Can I connect multiple packs in series or parallel for larger battery banks?
Parallel connections (up to 2 packs for 24V 60Ah) are supported as long as both packs are brought to within 0.1V of each other before pairing. Series connections (to create 48V) are not supported due to the internal BMS MOSFET voltage tolerance. If you need a native 48V battery, contact us directly for an engineered 16S configuration.
