Can I run this 52V battery on my 48V e-bike motor and controller?

Yes, in almost all cases. Most 48V motor controllers (including Bafang BBS02, BBSHD, and common hub motor controllers) use 63V-rated capacitors, meaning they handle a fully charged 52V pack (58.8V max) with ease. You'll get a bit more top speed, better throttle response, and less voltage sag on steep climbs. If your display shows a 48V battery gauge, set it to 52V in settings for accurate percentage readouts.

Which BMS rating should I choose: 30A, 50A, or 60A?

Match the BMS continuous rating to your motor controller’s maximum amp draw. For standard 750W–1000W motors, the 30A BMS is plenty. If you are running a 1500W–2000W setup or BBSHD with unlocked current, choose the 50A BMS. For 2000W–2500W+ high-torque hub builds pulling heavy continuous amps, grab the 60A version to avoid BMS thermal trip-outs.

How do I connect the Smart JBD BMS to my phone?

Why does the charger output 58.8V, and is 5A charging safe for 25Ah?

A 52V battery consists of 14 cell groups in series (14S). Because each cell charges to 4.20V max, 14 × 4.2V = 58.8V full charge cut-off. A 5A charging rate across a 5-parallel (5P) 25Ah pack translates to just 1.0A per cell—well within Samsung 50G’s recommended 2.5A charging spec. Can I ride with this triangle battery in heavy rain?

The ABS hard shell provides excellent splash and dirt protection against wet roads and light-to-moderate rain. However, no e-bike battery is 100% submersible. Avoid power washing the battery seams directly, and ensure the rubber dust caps on the charging and USB ports are tightly sealed before hitting wet trails.

How should I store the battery during the off-season or winter?

Charge or discharge the battery to roughly 50%–60% (around 51V–53V) before storing.
