How do I know if this triangle battery will fit inside my bike frame?
The casing dimensions are 375 mm (Length) x 235 mm (Height) x 410 mm (Hypotenuse) x 90 mm (Thickness). We strongly suggest cutting out a cardboard template matching these dimensions and testing it inside your bike frame’s triangle space. Make sure you leave at least 10–15 mm of clearance around the edges for the mounting straps and rear shock movement.
Which BMS option should I choose: 30A, 40A, or 50A?
Match the BMS to your controller’s maximum continuous current limit. If your motor controller is rated up to 1800W, choose 30A. For 1800W to 2400W setups, choose 40A. If you run a high-output 2400W to 3000W controller, pick 50A. Picking a higher BMS rating prevents sudden power cut-offs when pushing full throttle on steep climbs.
How does the Smart Bluetooth BMS app work?
Download the free JBD / Xiaoxiang BMS App (available for iOS and Android). Turn on Bluetooth on your phone, open the app, and select your battery. You will see real-time data for individual cell voltages, pack temperature, remaining percentage, and cycle count. You can also toggle the charge and discharge switches remotely for added storage safety.
Does the included 5A fast charger degrade the Samsung 50G cells faster?
No. This battery uses a 4-parallel (4P) group of authentic Samsung 21700 50G cells. A 5A charging current distributes to only 1.25A per cell group, which is well below Samsung’s official standard charge rate (up to 2.45A per cell). It fills the pack in about 4 hours safely without generating excess heat or cutting cycle life short.
Is this ABS hard shell waterproof for riding in the rain?
The sealed ABS hard shell easily handles light rain, road puddles, and trail mud splashes. However, like all high-voltage e-bike batteries, it should never be submerged in water or cleaned with a high-pressure power washer. Make sure the rubber dust cap on the 5V USB and charging port is firmly closed when riding in damp conditions.
How should I store the battery during the winter offseason?
Do not store the battery completely empty or 100% full. Charge it to around 50% to 70% capacity (approx. 74V–76V on the app) and store it indoors in a dry area between 10°C and 25°C (50°F–77°F). Give it a 30-minute top-up every 60 to 90 days to prevent the BMS parasitic drain from over-discharging the cells.
