How do I know if this 36V 30Ah battery fits my bike frame?
Check your physical battery tray or frame triangle space against our outer dimensions of 300 × 190 × 90 mm (11.8 × 7.5 × 3.5 in). Because this pack uses a rigid metal shell filled with shock-absorbing foam and waterproof glue, the casing will not flex or squeeze down. We always suggest leaving around 5 to 10 mm of free clearance for easy sliding and cable routing.
Which BMS rating should I pick: 30A, 40A, or 50A?
Match the BMS continuous rating to your motor controller's current draw:
• 30A BMS: Best for standard 250W to 1,000W motors used for city commuting and flat trails.
• 40A BMS: Ideal for 750W to 1,200W motors tackling rolling hills and trail riding.
• 50A BMS: Built for high-torque 1,000W to 1,500W setups, heavy cargo, and steep hill climbs.
Picking a higher BMS amp rating won't harm a smaller motor; your motor controller only draws the current it demands.
Does the 5A fast charger degrade the Samsung 21700 50G cell life?
No. This battery uses a 10S6P configuration containing 60 genuine Samsung 50G cells. When charging at 5A across 6 parallel cell groups, each individual cell only receives approximately 0.83A. That is well within Samsung's standard recommended charge current rate, delivering a full 0 to 100% recharge in roughly 6 to 7 hours without unnecessary thermal stress.
How does the built-in LCD screen and JBD Bluetooth app work?
The exterior screen lights up to show live pack voltage, battery percentage, real-time operating temperature, and charging progress. For deeper analytics, download the official JBD app to your iOS or Android phone. You can view individual cell group balance voltages, cycle count, safety protection triggers, or remotely switch discharge on and off.
Is this sheet-metal battery pack waterproof in heavy rain?
The pack is sealed with a fully formed sheet-metal casing, sealed seams, and internal waterproof potting compound that locks moisture and dust away from the cells. It easily handles wet roads, light rain, and trail puddles. However, you should never submerge the pack underwater or clean it with a high-pressure pressure washer.
What do the red and green indicator lights mean on the charger?
A solid red light indicates the charger is plugged in and actively supplying power, or alerting to a connection fault. A solid green light means the pack is fully charged to 42.0V and the charger has automatically triggered CC/CV cut-off to prevent overcharging.
