Will this 36V 40Ah battery work with my motor kit?
Yes, as long as your controller is rated for 36V nominal (42V max). Pick the 30A BMS for standard motors up to 1000W (like Bafang BBS02 36V 500W/750W or hub motors). Pick the 50A BMS for performance setups up to 1500W where higher hill-climbing current is needed.
If you run a 48V or 52V motor kit, do not use this pack; check our matching 48V/52V packs instead.
How does the Smart JBD Bluetooth BMS work with my phone?
Just download the Xiaoxiang (JBD) app on iOS or Android and turn on Bluetooth. No wiring or account setup needed. The app auto-detects the battery within range.
You can check individual cell voltages across all 10 series groups, monitor internal temperature sensors, see exact current draw in real time, and toggle charge/discharge ports on or off.
Is the metal casing waterproof and safe for rain riding?
Yes, it easily handles rain, road puddles, and trail spray. The stamped steel enclosure is lined with dense EVA shock-absorption foam and injected with industrial waterproofing sealant around all wire exits and seams.
As with all high-voltage electronics, avoid submerging the pack underwater or washing it with high-pressure power washers.
Will the 5A fast charger degrade the Samsung 21700 cells faster?
Not at all. A 5A charge rate is actually very gentle on this pack. Because the battery uses an 8-parallel (8P) cell layout, the 5A current is shared across 8 cells—meaning each Samsung 50G cell only receives about 0.62A.
Samsung rates these cells for up to 2.45A normal charging, so 0.62A is well below standard limits, ensuring zero excessive heat and protecting long-term cycle life.
How should I store this battery during winter or off-season?
Store it indoors at roughly 50% charge (around 36V to 37V on the top screen). Keep it in a dry area between 10°C and 25°C (50°F to 77°F).
Do not leave the pack completely empty (0%) or continuously plugged into the charger (100%) for months. Check the top voltage readout every 60–90 days and top it up slightly if it drops below 35V.
