How do I know if this triangle pack fits my bike frame?
Measure the inner triangle of your bike frame before ordering. This pack measures 225mm long × 150mm tall × 75mm thick (8.86" × 5.91" × 2.95") with a 200mm (7.87") hypotenuse slope.
Make a quick cardboard template using these dimensions and place it inside your front triangle. Check for clearance around rear shock mounts, water bottle bosses, and front derailleur cables.
Should I choose the 30A or 40A BMS version?
It depends entirely on your motor controller's current rating:
- 30A BMS (90A peak): Best for 250W, 500W, 750W, and 1000W motors paired with controllers rated up to 25A–30A.
- 40A BMS (120A peak): Ideal for 1000W to 1500W high-torque hub or mid-drive setups with 30A–35A controllers.
Picking the 40A BMS gives you extra headroom and lower heat during steep climbs, but make sure your motor wiring and controller can handle the draw.
How do I connect to the JBD Bluetooth BMS and what can I control?
Download the Xiaoxiang App (available for iOS and Android) and enable Bluetooth on your phone. Turn on or plug in the pack, open the app, and search for the nearby Bluetooth signal to connect directly without a pairing PIN.
Through the app dashboard, you can view individual cell group voltages, check internal temperature sensor readings, monitor live amperage draw, and toggle charge/discharge switches remotely.
Are these original Samsung 50G cells, and why does 21700 matter?
Yes. Every pack is spot-welded with 52 brand-new, factory-matched Samsung INR21700-50G cells in a 13S4P matrix. We do not use rewrapped, recycled, or generic B-grade cells.
Compared to older 18650 formats, 21700 cells hold higher energy density and deliver cooler discharge runs under heavy throttle, meaning significantly less voltage sag when you are accelerating or riding uphill.
Is the 5A fast charger safe for daily battery longevity?
Yes. With a 4P parallel configuration (4 cells sharing current), a 5A charge current translates to just 1.25A per cell. That is well within Samsung's recommended standard charge rating (0.5C / 2.45A per cell).
The included 54.6V 5A charger charges the pack in approximately 4 hours from empty while staying well within safe thermal thresholds thanks to active fan cooling.
How waterproof is the PVC wrap, and does it need a frame bag?
The pack is sealed with heavy-duty heat-shrink PVC film backed by internal epoxy fiberglass boards, protecting the cells from splashes, road debris, and vibrations.
However, because it uses flexible wiring exits, it is splash-resistant, not submersible. We strongly recommend mounting it inside a weather-resistant triangle frame bag for daily commuting in wet rain or off-road mud.
How should I store this battery over the winter or off-season?
Store the battery indoors at room temperature (around 50°F–70°F / 10°C–20°C) at roughly 50% to 60% state of charge (around 48V–49V).
Never leave it plugged in continuously over the winter, and never store it completely drained at 0%. Check voltage every 6 to 8 weeks via the Xiaoxiang App and top it off if it drops below 46V.
