How do I pick between the 30A, 50A, and 60A BMS options?
Check the battery current on your controller label, not the phase current. Up to 30A draw: 30A BMS (up to 1500W). 40-50A draw: 50A BMS (up to 3000W). 55-60A draw: 60A BMS (up to 3500W), so it will not cut out at full throttle.
How do I connect to the Smart JBD Bluetooth BMS?
Download the XiaoxiangBMS app from the App Store or Google Play. Turn on your phone's Bluetooth, open the app, and connect to your battery within range. You will see each cell's voltage, pack temperature, and remaining amp-hours in real time.
Can I use a higher amperage fast charger than the included 5A unit?
You can, but the included 5A charger is best for battery life. It fills 30Ah in about 6-7 hours. A higher-amp charger fills faster but shortens cycle life, and any replacement must be an 84V lithium charger.
How much physical clearance should I leave inside my frame or battery box?
About 485 x 145 x 75 mm (about 19.1 x 5.7 x 2.9 in). The pack is hand-wrapped in epoxy board and heat-shrink wrap, so leave a little free play on all sides. That stops binding, leaves room for wires, and lets you add EVA foam against vibration.
What connector comes pre-soldered, and can I get custom wiring?
We build each pack to order with your choice of XT90-S (anti-spark), Anderson SB50, QS8, or XT60, including the mating vehicle-side connector. If you need longer leads, thicker silicone cable, or a separate charge port, leave a note at checkout or contact support after ordering.
Is this battery waterproof for wet trail riding and daily commuting?
No, it is weather-resistant, not waterproof. The epoxy board and heat-shrink wrap handle tire spray and light rain, but the pack is not submersible. For wet winter commutes or mud riding, mount it in a frame bag or hard battery box with silicone-sealed cable exits.
