EU Consumer Rights & Withdrawal Policy

Last Updated: June 2026

This page explains the statutory consumer rights available to customers located in the European Union (EU), including withdrawal rights and important exceptions that may apply to BOOANT lithium battery products.

Important Notice

This policy supplements our Return, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Warranty Policy . Where required by law, applicable EU consumer protection regulations shall prevail.

1. EU Consumer Withdrawal Rights

Under EU consumer protection laws, consumers purchasing goods online may generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 calendar days without providing a reason.

The withdrawal period typically begins on the day the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer, receives the goods.

2. Important Exceptions Applicable to BOOANT Products

Certain BOOANT products may be exempt from the standard EU withdrawal right due to their customized nature or transport restrictions.

  • Custom-configured battery packs
  • Made-to-order battery assemblies
  • Products built to customer-specified electrical configurations
  • Products modified with customer-selected connectors, BMS settings, or charger specifications
  • Products manufactured according to special project requirements

3. Custom-Made Battery Pack Exemption

Many BOOANT battery packs are manufactured or configured according to customer-selected specifications, including:

  • Battery voltage and capacity
  • BMS current rating
  • Connector type (XT60, XT90, QS8, Anderson, etc.)
  • Charging specifications
  • Battery dimensions and enclosure type

Products manufactured or customized according to individual customer requirements may qualify as personalized or made-to-order goods and may therefore be exempt from the standard 14-day withdrawal right under applicable EU law.

4. Lithium Battery Shipping Restrictions

⚠ Dangerous Goods Notice

Lithium batteries are classified as Class 9 dangerous goods under international transportation regulations.

  • Return shipping may require certified dangerous goods carriers.
  • Air transportation may be restricted or unavailable.
  • Additional customs documentation may be required.
  • Cross-border returns may involve substantial transport costs.

Because of these restrictions, withdrawal requests involving lithium battery products may require manual review and special transportation arrangements.

5. Standard Non-Custom Products

If a BOOANT product is a standard non-customized item and no legal exemption applies, eligible EU consumers may request withdrawal within 14 calendar days of delivery, subject to inspection and return authorization.

  • Product must remain unused and unmodified.
  • Original packaging should be retained whenever possible.
  • Return authorization from BOOANT is required before shipment.

6. Cancellation Before Production

Orders may generally be canceled within 24 hours of payment for a full refund.

Once production, assembly, testing, customization, or engineering work has begun, withdrawal or cancellation rights may be limited due to the made-to-order nature of the product.

7. Warranty vs Withdrawal Rights

EU withdrawal rights are separate from warranty protection.

  • Withdrawal rights relate to order cancellation or product returns.
  • Warranty rights relate to manufacturing defects or product performance issues.

BOOANT provides a 2-Year Limited Warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal use.

For warranty-related issues, please review our Warranty Policy .
